AISP

1.0

Retrieve NewDay customers' account information and transaction data with read-only access.

Overview

The Account API allows Account Information Service Provider (AISP) to securely retrieve NewDay customers' account information and transaction data with read-only access. Access is granted through a consent provided by the customer. The account data can be used by third-party providers to provide value-added products and services to our customers.

The AISP registers a resource to retrieve account information by creating an account-access-consent resource. It registers data that the customer has consented to provide to AISP relating to an account such as:

  • Account product
  • Balances
  • Direct Debits
  • Offers
  • Party
  • Statements
  • Transaction History

Each data item is access via a separate endpoint which you can find more information in our API references.

Benefits

Increased innovation

Enables the development of new financial products and services that can benefit customers and banks by allowing third-party providers to access bank data securely.

See all accounts in one place

Customers can see all their bank accounts from different companies in one place via AISP.

How it works

Before you start, you must meet the regulatory requirements as an AISP:
  1. 1
Register with the relevant authority as an AISP, the Financial Conduct Authority (FCA) in the UK, through their website.
  2. 2
Register with the UK Open Banking Implementation Entity (OBIE) and have a valid transport and signing certificate uploaded on the directory.
  3. 3
Register with NewDay as a third-party via the Dynamic Registration endpoint.

The account-access-consent resource will include the following fields which describe the data that the customer has consented with the AISP:

  1. 1
Permissions: A list of data clusters that have been consented for access.
  2. 2
Expiration date: The date when the AISP will no longer have access to the customer’s data.
  3. 3
Transaction Validity Period: The date range which specifies a historical period for transactions and statements that may be accessed by the AISP.
